Be proactive with your customers to get more Business - Pick up the phone:
|
Customers usually choose the person who helps them the most. So pick up the phone and call them.
And don't try to sell them something; instead ask "How's business going?", "What problems do you have at the moment?" and "Is there anything we can do to help you?"
You'd be surprised how much business is out there when you helpcustomers evaluate their needs or solve a problem.

Stay In Touch With All Your Customers
|
If you don't communicate with your customers every 90 days, marketing experts will tell you they are no longer considered your customers. One of the most efficient ways to be proactive with ALL of your customers is to regularly communicate with them by email.
Take this email as an example. Because you regularly read this newsletter from Anyware, we know you are a proactive business person who wants to improve your business. We know you'll be receptive to ideas for improving your business and sales, and you won't mind if we tell you about services that help you achieve this (so long as we don't flog you irrelevant services).
Who are your customers and what do they need? Can you regularly give them advice that will help them? What products or services can you gently promote while you do it?Remember that the shorter your email communications the more thoroughly they will be read. You don't have to spend a lot of time writing long articles - short tips are best.

Sales Tip of the Month... |
Some times the best way you canhelp your customers is to give them something physical so they (or their customers) can easily browse your products, solutions or ideas. For example, if you sell granite and marble to architects and interiordesigners, create catalogues and product brochures. This makes it easy foryour architect and interior designer customers to suggest ideas and solutions to their customers. Or if you have a waiting area for customers, create wall charts so your customers can browse your products orservices while they wait. Everybody likes to look at something while they wait!
